Like a River Glorious was written by Frances Ridley Havergal, an English religious poet and hymn writer. Take My Life and Let it Be and Thy Life for Me (also known as I Gave My Life for Thee) are two of her best known hymns.

Like a river, glorious
Is God’s perfect peace,
Over all victorious
  In its bright increase;
Perfect, yet it floweth
  Fuller every day,

  Deeper all the way.

Hidden in the hollow
  Of His blessed hand,
