Singing I Go!

img_1380-1

Singing I go along life’s road;
Praising the Lord,
Praising the Lord!

Singing I go along life’s road,
for Jesus has lifted my load.

The words above are the refrain to the hymn, “Singing I Go,” written by Eliza Hewett. She wrote over 70 hymns. Another of her hymns that many  know is, “Will There Be any Stars?”

Jesus Never Fails

Jesus Never Fails

Earthly friends may prove untrue,
Doubts and fears assail;
One still loves and cares for you;
One who will not fail.

Tho’ the sky be dark and drear,
Fierce and strong the gale,
Just remember He is near,
And He will not fail.

In life’s dark and bitter hour,
Love will still prevail;
Trust His everlasting pow’r
Jesus will not fail

Jesus never fails,
Jesus never fails.
Heav’n and earth may pass away,
But Jesus never fails.

Rise Up, Shepherd!

2 shepherds, 2 sheep

There’s a star in the East on Christmas morn,
Rise up shepherd and follow.
It will lead to the place where the Savior’s born,
Rise up shepherd and follow.

Follow, follow,
Rise up shepherd and follow.
Follow the star of Bethlehem.
Rise up shepherd and follow.

Leave your sheep and leave your lambs
Rise up shepherd and follow.
Leave you ewes and leave your rams.
Rise up shepherd and follow.

Follow, follow,
Rise up shepherd and follow.
Follow the star of Bethlehem.
Rise up shepherd and follow.

If you take good heed to the angel’s words.
Rise up shepherd and follow.
You’ll forget your flocks; you’ll forget your herds.
Rise up shepherd and follow.

Follow, follow,
Rise up shepherd and follow.
Follow the star of Bethlehem.
Rise up shepherd and follow.
