From an infant, I attended church camp each year in Grand Ledge, Michigan. For those of us who had the opportunity to go year after year, the fond memories are burned deep into our minds. It was a camp for families, and there were activities for all ages. On weekends, Saturday (Sabbath) in particular, there could be as many as 20,000 people in attendance.
When I moved, recently, I found this little booklet (below) among my belongings. I have no idea how I came to have it, but to me it is a treasure. My blog just happens to be a place where I can post and store the booklet.
Was a childhood attendee in the 40s, so this was very interesting! Thank you for a piece of history I can relate to.

Thank you for sharing this. I remember my first campmeeting with my grandparents back in the late 40’s or very early 50’s. Stayed in a home, upstairs. You have a treasure.

What an interesting read! Thank you for sharing. As a young child in the 1940s, it was fun to go to meeting with our parents in this auditorium. It had a dirt floor and handled tractors and farm implements nicely! Also bigger kids found out that watch faces and cosmetic mirrors would reflect the sun nicely and cast sunshine patches on the high ceilings that would wobble and whirl, much to the delight of kids!
