This is the season of free calendars. They can be gotten at the bank, at the hardware store, at your insurance company and lots of places!

Calendars are a great source for quick cut-and-paste cards. Sometimes, we might want to grab a card out of the stack to send a quick message to a friend.

Some calendar pictures lend themselves to more than one card, as you can see on the dark foggy mountain cards, above.

Below is a picture of a template I have on hand that enables me to quickly draw a line around a picture segment that will make a good card front. I prefer to put the calendar page against a window (or a light box) and draw the line on the back of the picture so there is no line on the picture itself.
